Just finished this Chinese Lantern quilt for Denise C.
I free-handed some loopy loops inside each lantern, with a diamond to fill in the remaining space, then stitched some swirls around each lantern (to match the swirls on the fabric), and more loops in the borders. The lanterns are so colourful, I used some bright variegated threads to go along with them!
I would consider this a medium custom job.
I always get attached to quilts I've spent alot of time on, and this is one of them that I will find hard to give back!
